Authorities investigated a large scale narcotics operation in Pemberton late last year, finding that William Anderson, a 60-year-old Brown Mills man, was trafficking substantial quantities of heroin, methamphetamine, and cocaine, with David Furter, a 61-year-old Palmyra resident serving as a key supplier of bulk methamphetamine, New York State Police said.

Law enforcement saw Furter place a red bag into a mailbox at 1495 Junction Rd, police said. They conducted a motor vehicle stop on Furter and seized cocaine and currency, police said. Detectives saw Anderson retrieve the red bag and attempted to initiate a motor vehicle stop, police said. Anderson refused to stop, struck a Troop Car and fled the scene, police said.

During the pursuit, Anderson discarded a red bag, which contained a pound of methamphetamine, police said. He continued to flee and ultimately struck a New Hanover Police K-9 vehicle before stopping in front of 422 Ridgeview Ave., where officers took him into custody, police said.

Law enforcement executed multiple residential and vehicle search warrants, arresting several associates and seizing significant quantities of drugs, weapons, currency, and drug paraphernalia—providing further evidence of an active drug production operation, police said.

Authorities seized 1 kilogram of fentanyl, 45 bricks of heroin, 59 Oxycodone pills, 97 Valium pills, $25,848 in U.S. currency and two shotguns.

Also arrested were Marc Pleason, 52, Michael Picozzi, 44, Leslie Anderson, 52, Browns Mills residents and Holly Anderson, 26 and Linda Mayberry,  47, both Pemberton residents.

The seven face numerous drug charges, police said.
